These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Essential Blend mobile application and related services (“the app”), operated by Corentin Demougeot, an independent app developer based in Finland (“we”, “us”). By downloading, creating an account, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use the app.
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to use the app. By using it you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account, which permanently removes your saved recipes and oil collection.
An account is required. Essential Blend stores your recipes and oil collection on our servers so they sync across your devices, so you need an account to use the app. Signing in again, on the same device or a new one, restores everything saved to it. (A Pro subscription is tied to your App Store or Google Play account rather than to your Essential Blend account, so it is restored separately.)
Essential Blend is an informational and organizational tool for people interested in essential oils. It is not medical, health, or professional advice, and the recipes and content in the app are provided for general informational purposes only. Essential oils are potent substances that can cause harm if misused, including skin irritation, allergic reactions, phototoxicity, or harm to children, pregnant or nursing people, and pets. You are solely responsible for how you prepare and use any blend, including proper dilution and patch-testing. Always follow the guidance of a qualified aromatherapist or healthcare professional, and never use essential oils to treat, diagnose, or cure any medical condition. Never ingest essential oils unless directed by a qualified professional.
Essential Blend offers an optional paid subscription (“Pro”) that unlocks additional features.
Recipes, notes, and collections you create remain yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, sync, and display that content back to you as part of running the service. You’re responsible for the content you create and share, and for ensuring you have the right to share it.
The app lets you share a recipe as a link. The recipe is encoded directly in the link, so anyone you send it to can open it. Share links only with people you intend to share with.
You agree not to misuse the app, including attempting to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to it or its systems, using it for unlawful purposes, or submitting content that is illegal, abusive, or infringes others’ rights.
The app, its name, design, and the essential-oil and ingredient catalog it ships with are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms don’t grant you any right to our branding or content beyond using the app as intended.
The app relies on third-party services (such as Apple, Google, Supabase, and RevenueCat) to function. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we aren’t responsible for them.
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content is accurate or suitable for your particular needs.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app or from your use of essential oils. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or misuse the app. Some provisions, such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, survive termination.
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. When we make material changes we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence continue to apply.
